And it also provides scientific theoretic basis and practical guidance for protection and utilization of Xinyan wild orchid.This article carried on researchs of resources investigation, Classification and Identification, application value and the protection and utilization of Xinyang wild orchid.1. Through investigation, there are 44 wild orchid species, subject to 26 genuses in Xinyang. they often distributes fragmentarily under evergreen coniferous forest and deciduous broadleaved mixed forest. The soil is yellow brown loam or yellow brown earth or mortar black soil with about 6.5 PH value. This article studied the Xinyang orchid's classification, the distribution, the shape characteristic, and established the genus key table, the species key table and the species and genus statistical table in this article.2. Through research on Xinyang wild orchid's economic value, all orchids have ornamental value. And 37 species have medicinal value. It established the table of the species, distribution and habitat of Xinyang orchid, the table of the ornamental characteristic of Xinyang orchid and the table of the species, medicinal part and medicinal efficacy of Xinyang medicinal orchid.
