Octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (1831) is a novel fungicidal andinsecticide. Due to the information on the bioactivity and application of the MyzuPersicae (Sulzer) is not available, the bioassay measure in the room, field trial andaction mechanism experiment were carried in the paper. The main results are listed asfollows:1. The bioassay measure results in the room showed that 1831 had strongcontacting and antifeedant poison against the Myzu Persicae (Sulzer), the regressionequation of contact toxicity of 24h, 48h and 72h after treatment werey=3.1354+0.7970x(r=0.9922), y=2.8215+1.0573x (r=0.9685) and y=1.9554+1.5985x(r=0.9867), LD50 were 226.04 mg/L, 114.95 mg/L and 80.29mg/L respectively. 1831also showed strong antifeedant effects against the Myzu Persicae (Sulzer). Theregression equation of antifeedant effects of 24h, 48h and 72h after treatment werey=3.1609+0.8301x (r=0.9983), y=3.1488+0.8315x (r=0.9972) and y=2.6365+0.9284x(r=0.9997), AFC-(50) were 175mg/L, 168.40mg/L and 350mg/L respectively. The1400mg/L 1831 solution of water was also used to treat radish leaves, The antifeedingeffect 24h, 48h and 72h after treatment was 78.36 %, 75.54% and 71.53 %respectively, But 1831 hadn't sypoison against the Myzu Persicae (Sulzer), theregression equation of systemic toxicity of 48h and 72h after treatment werey=2.0245+0.7554x(r=0.9875) and y=2.9698+0.5601x (r=0.9980), LD-(50) were8686.88mg/L and 4228.67mg/L.2. Field trial results show that 12% 1831 SP has a good efficiency againstvegetable aphides. Its efficiency is not as good as of effect of treatment 1 day and 3days after treatment, but its efficiency is higher than 80 % 7 days after treatment,which is better than effect of control3. The action mechanism experiment showed that 1831 can significantly reducetotal Est activity and CarE activity of Myzu Persicae (Sulzer), 48h after treatment,Total Est activity of Treatment dose of 400mg/L, 800mg/L significantly lower thanthat of the control, only is 0.5106 and 0.4585 of control. 1831 also can reduce CarE activity, each treatment significantly is lower than control, and control degree iscorrectitude correlation with dosage. 24h after treatment, CarE activity of treatmentdosage from high to low respectively account for 16.78%,31.35%,57.00%,74.48%,93.07% of control. 1831 has good inducement activation action on GSTs of MyzuPersicae (Sulzer), and GSTs activity gradually increase with increasing of treatmentConcentration and time. The enzyme activity of each treatment were significanthigher than that of control, were significantly different at control by Duncan'smultiple range test (DMRT), The activities of GSTs of Myzu Persicae (Sulzer) weresignificantly activated, the activities of treatment with 400mg/L increased 2.1674 and3.7711 folds than that oft he control of 24h and 48h after treatment respectively. Butthe activities of acetylcholinesterase were not significantly different from that of thecontrol.
