This article takes the dwarf Lines "97004D", Dual species"97004H" and the genetic standard lines TM-1 as material, to knowmore about Growth Trend of Main Stem,the cytological anatomicalstructure of stem meristem, Photosynthesis characteristic of leaves,Thedynamics and changes of Exotic Phenols,proteins contents andendogenous hormone contents on high and dwarf from studies onmorphology, cytology and physiological biochemical characteristics.Provide the theoretical basis as Referenced that breeding thevarieties with the High Yield & Quality and the reasonable cultivationmeasures. The main results of the research are as follows:1. The morphological investigation in field indicated that theheight of plant have no prominent difference among 97004D, 97004Hand TM-1 from seedling to the squaring stag, there have difference inthe height of plant after the squaring stage; the absolutely speed ofgrowth and the height of plant in 97004H and TM-1 are higher than97004D. The time of the biggest date The growth of the plant height incotton is the end of June date to mid-July and the difference is veryprominent between high and dwarf. There are no prominent difference in number of main stem internode and fruiting shoot among 97004D,97004H and TM-1.2. Results of cytological research showed that: transverse sectionof stem in 97004D having these characteristics compared withTM-1, such as bigger surface area of parenchyma cell,less the numberof vascular bundle,developed cambium and so on. There are moreparenchyma cells of stem in TM-1 start to develop at first and fastergrowth speed of stem cells. The internode length of stem becameelongation because of many stem cells mitotic and growthunceasingly.3. There have no difference in chlorophyll contents, stomatalconductance and transpiration rate indexes of 97004D, 97004H andTM-1. This result explanation that there are many factors can affectthe photosynthetic rate except chlorophyll content in leaves. Such asstomatal, conductance in leaf, enzymes activity, source-sink changeand so on.4. The content of Exotic Phenols and starch in 97004D areobviously lower than 97004H and TM-1 because of depression ofphotosynthetic rate. The content of protein is higher than 97004Hand TM-1 during depression of carbohydrate in chloroplast ofleaves. 5. The content Of IAA, GA and ZR in the shoot-tip of 97004Dare litter than 97004H and TM-1, but the content of ABA in theshoot-tip of 97004D are more than 97004H and TM-1. the resultindication that: the content of hormone which Promote cell growthand Fission in Cotton dwarfing strains is lessen than the high andthe content of hormone Inhibit growth in Cotton dwarfing strains ismore than the high, this is extremely important reason, and it is theprominent dwarfing indexes also.
