This study was performed to standardize the milk market in Yongjing County, improving the hygienic quality of the milk and guarantee the health of the consumer. Altogether 40 samples of fresh milk were collected from 21 large-scale, medium or small-scale cattle farms and sporadic cow cultivation household in six towns within the range of this county by random sampling. Application of methods: TTC (tripheye tetrazolium choloride),ELISA Kit analysised antibiotic and sulfonamides of the samples ;GB/T4789.2-2003,GB/T4789.3-2003 and GB/T4789.4-2003 analysised aerobic bacterial count,Coliform bacteria and salmonella bacillus of the samples; GB5009.5-85,GB5009.6-85 analysised protin and fat of the samples; normal methods analysised physics-chemistry targets and falsific matters of the samples . The results indicated that 10% (4/40) of the samples have the antibiotic; 5% (1/20) have the sulfonamides; 45% (18/40) have the adulteration components; in 29.17% (7/24) of the samples, aerobic bacterial count is higher than the national standards; in 12.5% (3/24) of the samples Coliform bacteria was detected but the salmonella bacillus was not detected (0/24); in 10% (4/40) of the samples the nutrient content did not conform to the national standards. At the same time, the tiger red plate agglutination assay and the tuberculin allergy assay have been used on the serological samples randomly collected from the cow in this county. The results indicated that the positive rate of brucellosis was 0.004% (1/2337) and the suspicious positive rate is 0% (0/2337); the positive rate of tuberculosis was 1.9% (34/1784) and the suspicious positive rate is 2.52% (45/1784). This study will help the health quality control of milk in Yongjing County and provide the basic data for the future research.
