Abstract/Summary:
Canine Urinary calculi ,also called urinary calculus, was the joint name of Renal calculus;ureteral calculus and vesical calculus. Depending on the composition, urinary calculi was classified as struvite calculus;ammonium oxalate calculus;urate calculus;calcium phosphate stone;cystine calculus;silex calculus and combination calculus. The diagnosis of urinary calculus was always carried out by the combination of clinical symptom;imageology and laboratory diagnosis. Operation was always used in the treatment of ureteral calculus and vesical calculus as their size lager than other kinds of calculus. It was not very complicated way, though the recurrence rate was high. Purine calculus and urate calculus mainly occurred in kidney, so the operation treatment had little practical use and medicine was the first choice. As there is no canine specific medicine for calculus, it is very critical to investigate this kind of medicine for the canine clinical need.On the basis of Canine Urinary calculi epidemiological investigation, this study focused on the clinical diagnosis; therapy of xanthine Renal calculus and development Chinese medicine capsule against calculus. This study was very impotent to understand the mechanism of calculus formation; scientific improvement of diet; making suitable preventive plan. From this study, some results were reported as followings:Part one: The investigation of the epidemiology of canine urinary calculiFrom the year 2005 to 2007, dogs with canine urinary calculi from Jiangsun province and all over the country were investigated and studied .Many aspects were considered such as breed; average age; sex; season and so on.Part two: The clinical and laboratory diagnosis of canine urinary calculiFirst, based on clinical symptom; interrogation and palpation, canine urinary calcul was primary diagnosed. And then, laboratory diagnosis mainly including uronoscopy; X-ray examination; B-mode ultrasoundand dissection was carried out.Part three: The diagnosis of canine xanthine calculi Based on uronoscopy; biochemical indicator of serum; B-mode ultrasoundand dissection; X-ray examination and canine diet canine xanthine calculi was final diagnosed, then chemical composition was analysed.
