| Peking duck is one of the excellent meat-type breed. The Z-type Peking duck was cultivated pass through several years. The males growth faster and had higher feed reward than females. The females had high reproduced ability. By enhance of the material life, the all wool and a yard wide birds production were needed. So, the cultivated speed from fat-tpye to muscle-type was quickened. Now, the breast muscular weight, leg muscular weight and muscle rate were enhanced. But the study of the variance about intramuscular fat (IMF) was still not reported. In this paper, the correlation between IMF and slaught traits, the weight of different days and IMF of breast muscle and slaught traits were studied. Moreover, the corelations were all studied by biochemical marker and molecular marker. These were offered academic bases for cutivated the muscle-type Peking duck and avoid the IMF reduced. The results were as follows:1. The correlation between intramuscular fat (IMF) and body composition in Peking duck of three lines were analyzed. The results showed the correlative indexes between IMF and leg weight, sebum weight were 0.3738 and 0.43495 ( P<0.01 ) separately, and showed significant middle or high correlation. But the correlative indexes between IMF and sebum rate was lower significant. The correlation between IMF and breast muscular weight (rate), leg muscular weight (rate), abdomen fat weight (rate), sebum weight (rate) of male and female Z4 duck were all showed lower significant. The correlative index between IMF and sebum rate was 0.3 (P<0.05) in male hybrid duck and showed low positive significant; the correlative index between IMF and breast muscular weight, leg muscular weight were all showed low positive significant. Conclusion: the correlative degree of IMF and different indexes were varies due to the difference among and in different lines, so we must establish different breeding projects in different lines in breeding and accelerate the breeding rate of duck.2. The correlations between body weight and IMF of breast muscle and slaughter traits in different days in duck were analysised. The results indicated: in course of cultivated the small muscle-type peking duck, when decreased the body weight, IMF of breast muscle in male Z2 line and female hybrid line were not reduced; but the breast muscular rate, sebum rate, abdomen fat rate were reduced. When decreased the body weight, IMF of breast muscle, breast muscular rate, sebum rate and abdomen fat rate in female Z2 line, Z4 line and male hybrid line were all reduced. So, when make breeding program, we need to considering every lines conditions sufficiently. Make different breeding programs for different lines.3. Four biochemical parameters of Peking duck and cherry valley duck were analysised. The results indicated: triglyceride may regard as an indirect index to select sebum and abdomen fat of male Z2 duck, leg muscular weight of female Z2 duck and sebum trait of female Z4 duck. Total cholesterol may regard as an indirect index to select IMF of breast muscle of female Z2 duck, sebum trait of male hybrid duck and cherry valley duck, IMF of breast muscle and leg muscle and abdomen fat trait of female cherry valley duck. ALP may regard as an indirect index to select sebum trait of Z4 duck and sebum rate of male hybrid duck. Very low-density lipoprotein may regard as an indirect index to select breast muscular weight, leg muscular weight and decrease abdomen fat weight (rate) of female Z2 duck and IMF of breast muscle of female cherry valley duck.4. The genetic structure of A-FABP gene in two Peking duck populations was studied by SSCP, the results indicated there was polymorphism in intron-3 337bp. There were three genotypes in two Peking duck populations, called AA, BB and AB separately. There was one mutation in this locus which was C→T. The correlation analysis indicated: the IMF of breast muscle of genotype AA in Z4 and Z2 duck was the most, and represented remarkable difference. So, genotype AA individual may select to increase the breast muscular weight and not decrease the IMF of breast muscle. |
