In recent years, damages of corn spider mites have been increasingly severely in Numberrthern areas of China. Corn spider mites have become the chief pest in corn production of Shanxi province. Research on the cause and the solution to the pest has become an urgent task in current corn protection. This paper, based on the domestic and foreign researches on corn leaf mites, focused on corn leaf mites in Shanxi province, analysed the distribution, dynamic moving rules and chief influential factors of the advanced type of corn leaf mites in Shanxi province by field investigation and experiment utilizing ecology and statistics, established the forecast tendency of the corn spider mites. In addition, sustainable prevention tactics were proposed. Several conclusions were developed through 3 years continuous research as follow:1. The result showed that Tetranychus truncates Ehara, Tetranychus cinnabarinus Koch and Tetranychus uricae Koch are main types damaging maize produce in shanxi. There are different types in different ecology area. Tetranychus cinnabarinus Koch, Tetranychus uricae Koch. And Tetranychus truncates Ehara are primary kinds in southern reseeding region. Tetranychus truncates Ehara and Tetranychus uricae Koch are primary spring corn-producing areas in central. Tetranychus truncates Ehara is primary in Numberrthern main maize-growing areas.The research has confirmed that primary damaging kind is Tetranychus truncates Ehara.2. Shanxi corn spider mite occurring regulations: Corn spider mite has 9-14 generation in Shanxi, they live through the winter together by female adults silking networks. The spread of Shanxi corn spider mite'moving has four dispersal stages: the relocation of settlers period is in the last ten-day period of May, proliferation and reproduction period is mid-June to the first ten-day of July. Peak of damgation is from mid-July to mid-August. Period of migration and Overwintering is the first ten-day period of September.3. The decrease and increase of corn spider mite is closely related to meteorological factors, such as temperature, humidity and precipitation and plant growth. (1) High temperature and dryness contribute to corn spider mite'growth. The low temperature and precipitation control their growth. (2) There are more corn spider mite in fields which are seeded early, weak growth and low level of applying fertilizer technic, and vice verse. (3) There are many difference in anti-mite characteristics of various corn kinds. (4) Shanxi corn spider mite have many kinds of Predatory natural enemies. Stethorus punctillum Weise and Hunting anthocoridae are chief ones.4. The guidelines for forecasting the disease and the standard of category on disaster losses were developed. In the other hand, according to the rules of corn leaf mites'occurrence and spread, field systematic investigation and account table of different period revealed The tendency of corn spider mite'appearance. The statistical model of the tendency forecast of corn spider mite is established. This is ?=2.1736-0.3107x1+1.4213x2.5. A set of corn spider mite's integrated measures were summarized in the research. One of the measures is planting the ripe compact type, drought-resistance and resisted the maize corn spider mite in the happening area. Secondly, fertilize the immediate effect manure in big loudspeaker period to strengthen the ability to resist mite of the crop. Thirdly, Popularize the physical prevention measure of cutting the leaf and blue board trapped and killed in early days etc. after the maize final singling. Fourthly, release ladybug and spray biochemical reagent, etc. to control spread of corn spider mite. In according to, popularize effective and inNumberxiously pesticide while greatly happening period to prevent corn product. The techNumberlogical measure of integrated control, accord with the direction of development of sustainable agriculture, having stressed that prevents and cures the characteristic inNumberxiously, the measure is concrete and clear, coordinate and supplement each other, practicability is strong, easy to operate and rational.
