Studies On Vegetation Degenerative Cause Of Kobresia Capilifolia And Kobresia Humilis Meadow And Protective Countermeasure

According to the literature and records, Kobresia capilifolia and Kobresia humilis are the predominant plant on alpine meadow in LuQui county of Gansu province. In the experimental site the high of dominant species and subdominant species were 9cm averagely, vegetation coverage were above 90%, and glass output mean were 4215kg/hm~2 during the seventies last century.The objective of the study was to study vegetation degeneration, and provide the protective countermeasure according. Due to over grazing, rodent damage, and trampling etc. the prophyta vegetation had the serious deterioration from 2003 to 2004. The particular performance was as follows: the high of dominant species and subdominant species descended 13.88-47.22%, vegetation coverage descended 15.00-38.38% and glass output mean descended 59.64-68.3%. The vegetation could be recovered by using fenced non-grazing, controlling grazing intensity, preventing and curing rodent damage and so on. The results were satisfactory: the high of dominant species and subdominant species recovered to 11.65-14.75cm, vegetation coverage improved to 75.8-93.4%, and glass quality achieved 2745-4807kg/hm~2 after using the above measures.Using the multi-layer weights analysis of big system, related to the vegetation degeneration, all factors were been ranged from high influence power to low influence power: over grazing, rodent damage, trampling and human's mar. Accordingly all of protective measures were been ranged: fenced non-grazing, controlling grazing intensity, preventing and curing rodent damage and forbidding human's mar. The fences non-grazing was the most effective protective countermeasure against vegetation degeneration.
