By setting different seeding times and the experiment material of NuCOTN 33B, the dynamic of several key enzymes activity, the genes' expression pattern and their effects to fiber strength were studied. And with limpid water as control, effect of exogenous materials on fibre strength development was studied by daubing bolls setting on the 1st and 2nd node and their contrapuntal leaves at 15 days post anthesis (DPA) and 30 DPA with the mixture of 6% sucrose and 0.6% Glutamine (C+N), the mixture of 2% sucrose and 0.2% Glutamine (1/3C+1/3N), the mixture of 2% sucrose and 0.2% Glutamine (2C+2N), the mixture of 6% sucrose, 0.6% Glutamine and 2ug.g-1 6-BA (C+N+BA), and 2ug.g-1 6-BA (BA)respectively. The main results were as follows:1. Effect of the key enzymes activity and the genes expression involved in the fiber development on the fiber strength formation in low temperature condition. Effect of low temperature on the dynamic of several key enzymes activity and the genes' expression pattern was studied and then the physiological and molecular mechanism of the textile processing was discussed by putting the fiber developing process in different temperature condition. Two years' data showed that the dynamics of the enzymes activity and the genes expression were influenced in different level in the low temperature condition. In the biochemical level, the activity of the β -1,3-glucanase and sucrose synthetase were increased accompany with the increasing of the temperature. Evidences also showed that the sucrose synthestase were much more sensitive to temperature variation than β -1,3-glucanase. In the expression level, the effect of low temperature (mean daily temperature of 0-50DPA and 25-50DPA was under 23℃ and 21℃ respectively) on different genes expression was quite different, details was that in the low temperature the expression of the β -1,3-glucanase gene was strikely inhibited in the days around the 15 DPA and the high expression period of the expansin gene was suspended. To the fiber strength development, the floodtide of the fiber elongation was suspended. The variation of the cellulose deposition and the textile procession was highly accordant with the changes of the 3 -1,3-glucanase gene expression pattern, while it was absolutely opposite to the...
