The aim of this study was to find out the suitable ratio of nitrogen and phosphorus for planting Salicornia bigelovii Torr., which can improve the fertilizer use efficiency and provide scientific guidence for planting Salicornia in large areas with high yield and good quality. The results were as follows:1. The total fresh weight and weight of edible stems significantly increased within a certain range of nitrogen and phosphorus application. The optimum application rate of nitrogen and phosphorus was 225 kg·hm-2 and 45 kg·hm-2, and the yield and fertilizer agronomy efficiency (FAE) began to decrease if the application rate exceeded this scale.2. The content of vitamin C was between 2.44~4.42mg·kg-1. But it could be significantly increased by applying suitable nitrogen fertilizer and reached its highest level in edible stems at the harvest time later. It seemed that the content of vitamin C decreased by phosphorus fertilization and further decreased in the edible stems at harvest time later. The content of vitamin C could only be improved with suitable ratio of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization but be decreased by over application of fertilizer.3. The content of soluble sugar could be improved when the application of nitrogen was lower than 225 kg·hm-2 but would decrease if the amount of nitrogen exceeded this scale. The accumulation of soluble sugar increased with application of a certain amount of phosphorus. Phosphorus would accumulate in Salicornia bigelovii Torr. when more than 50 kg·hm-2 phosphorus was applied, which resulted in the transformation of sugar into carbon skeleton and hindering the formation of soluble sugar.4. The content of nitrogen and phosphorus in root and shoot increased with the application rate of nitrogen and phosphorus. The accumulation of nitrogen and phosphorus were correlated positively with the dry weight. Application of suitable ratio of nitrogen and phosphorus could enhance the uptake of nitrogen and phosphorus and the accumulation of... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Salicornia bigelovii Torr., applicaion of nitrogen and phosphorus, growth, quality, accumulation of nitrogen and phosphorus | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
