The construction goals of the scene belt along Grand Canal in Yangzhouwere in order to increase the capacity of the forests and develop the city ecosystem. Thecommunities of the plants are collected scientifically, because the ecological greenbeltwas covered with arbor, bush, and combined by lawn which formed a great landscapeand offered a site for townsmen to relax, take exercise, sightsee and play. It's also aecological oasis which was harmonious and uniform to nature.The constructions of the ecological environment forest with different patterns arethe ecological health, ecological protection and ecological landscape forestland mode.The ecological environment forest is constructed on the bases of the various functionsof the plants, such as absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen, absorb sulphur dioxide,inhibiting pathogenic bacteria, detering dust and reduce noise. The tall arbors areplanted to absorb sulphur dioxide, detering dust and reduce noise to strengthen theecological protecing effect on people. Some plants are collected around thecommunities where the dwellers liked to active, and these plants are the speciality thatinhibiting pathogenic bactering to make persons healthy. The afforestation pattern ispracticed according to the principal of ecological functions first, species diversity andecology and landscape both stressed, incarnated the local culture feature, gaveprominence to represent the beauty of the bole, color and the rhythm of the seasons.Most of the plants are combined in the community pattern, and they are proper indensity and height.The hypostasis of the effect of the greenbelt in city is for the photosynthesis ofplants and the nutrition of the soil. The solar energy is transformed and fixed, so the city's ecological environment was developed and the living spaces were formed. Studieson environmental effect of the plants growing on the scene land along Grand Canal inYangzhou indicated that: the plants had significant effect on dust accumulating,remaining and absorbing. The dust accumulation effect of ecological environmentalprotection complex mode is better than garden road close to 20 percent, and 10.7percent than lawn. The greenbelt could reduce much noise for about 7dB than thegarden road, and the broad-leaved forests are the best. Leafy, hardness and overlappingranging trees are better than others. The short branches or high forest coronet trees arebetter than others. The average amount of Carbon fixation and Oxygen release for eachleaf of every square meter a day of defoliated trees is more than evergreen.Theevergreen arbors' average amount of Carbon fixation and Oxygen release are about the71 percent of the defoliated arbors', and the evergreen shrubs' are about the 67 percentof the defoliated shrubs'. As a whole, the trend is: The average amount of Carbonfixation and Oxygen release for each leaf of every square meter a day of defoliatedshrubs' is better than defoliated arbors'. The amount of defoliated arbors' is better thanevergreen arbors', and the amount of evergreen shrubs' is the last. The plants of thegreenbelt have significant effect on inhibiting pathogenic bacteria: the amount ofbacteria in the air of the forest is less than the greenbelt for about 10.08-99.71 percentwhich is far away from it for 15 meters, and it is less than the bare land for about23.59-99.78 percent. There is no obvious inhibiting function on mildew epiphyte to thecommunity of the plants.
