At the same time, wild jujube being a frequently used Chinese herbal medicine in clinical, high economic returns can be obtained if in the popularization activities, as per GAP planting criterion, large-scale and standardized carry out planting. So wild jujube can be a top-priority economic tree species in poor mountain area economic development.Through on-site investigation in wild jujube GAP base, and analysis of economic and social effects of wild jujube, author studied and probed the feasibility and necessity of selecting wild jujube to popularize and apply in Yan'an returning farmland to forest, also analyzed human environment and policy factors of wild jujube successfully large-area planting in north of Shaanxi province. Author consider saponin assay is variant according to different places of wild jujube production, while in Yan'an saponin assay is highest. In Yan'an district planting wild jujube and realizing industrialization have superiority, so wild jujube can be a preferred tree species to large-area plant in returning farmland to forest action in the area. Author suggested, under the policy of implementing returning farmland to forest, developing ecological, economic shelter forest construction in northwest, Yan'an government should pay high recognition to wild jujube industry development, establish special research institute, practice elite, base, exploitation, collection, processing research work, cultivate and form a smooth industrial chain involving production, supply, sale, gather, transportation, processing, fully educe maximum advantage of wild jujube resource.
