Considering the actualities of the utilization and degeneration of the mountain shrub-tussock in Yunnan province, this experimentation applies the basic principle of grassland ecology, selects the measures of vegetation restoration, enclosed fencing, shallow plough, shallow plough with over drilling, measured the quantity characteristic of grassland vegetation, surface water, soil erosin quantity and observes continuously for three years.The consequences of the experimentation are as follows:1. Enclosed fencing, shallow cultivation, shallow cultivation with over drilling can be the measures of vegetation restoration on the degenerated mountain shrub-tussok vegetation in Yunnan Province.Using encliosed fencing, shallow plough, shallow plough with over dtilling before the coming of rainy season, in the end of the first year, the height, density, coverage and the fresh grass yield of degraded shrub-tussok can be increased prominently, but the effect of shallw cultivation is relatively slow.Being renewed for two or three years, the sward structure of the degenerated mountain shrub-tussok has been improminently and the height, density and coverage are higher than the control group's.The height increased 44—45cm, the coverage increased 56%—59%, the density increased 243-411 per 0.25m~2.There were no significantly differences among three measures on the quantity characteristic of mountain shrub-tussok.2. Enclosed fencing, shallow plough, shallow plough with over drilling all can prominently imrove the quality and yield of the grassland.Through three years restoration, the fresh yield of mountain shrub-tussok obviously increased, the effect as follows: shallow plough with over drilling>enclosed fencing>shallow plough, compared with control group, the three measures can increase the yield 9184.5kg/hm~2,7605.0kg/hm~2,6804.0kg/hm~2 respectively.Shallow plough with over drilling can increase both quality and proportion of choiceness pasturage.3. Compared with the control groups, the three measures can prominently improve soil physical character, increase organic and the effect of water and soil conservation, decrease soil erosion and soil weight per cubic centimeter.In the course of the vegetation restoration of degenerated mountain shrub—tussock, the proportion of edible pasture can be increased and the weed will be substituted by edible pasture gradually.
