Study On Wheat Production In North China In The Republic Of China

The production of wheat in North China has a long history. The production of wheat is prominent provincial characteristics of agriculture in North China, where it is the center area of the production of wheat in our country. This article takes the historical materialism as the direction, adopts the theories and methods of the history of the regional economic and other related disciplines, unifies the analysis of the literature material with investigates and studies on the spot, discusses the various aspects of the wheat production of North China during the Republic of China, knowing and grasping its characteristics and the influence in this period so that we could have an inspiration to the wheat production nowadays, the agricultural economy and the technical development.This article has systematically studied the technology and economy of the production of wheat of North China in the Republic of China, analysed the relationship between the production of wheat and the factors of nature, politics, society and so on, and analysed its technical level, economic status, profound significance in this peroid. First, the article studies the variety distribution, the selective breeding and its extension of the production of wheat; studies the multiple cropping by rotation taking the winter wheat as the core crop; studies the wheat cultivation and its processing and store technology. Among them, the article stresses the influence of ecological environment to investigate the variety distribution of wheat and its cultivation measures,and so on. Next, the article studies the output of wheat and the regional characteristics of the production of wheat, analyses its output and yield per mu as well as the differences in and out of provinces.Next, the article studies the development condition of the production of wheat of North China in the Republic of China. It holds the views that the promotion factors the development of wheat of North China in this period depended on was the extension of irrigation with wells, the improvement of its cultivation and merchandising production; the restriction factors mainly were lacking water, backward technologies, agricultural disasters and frequent wars.
