Soil erosion and environmental radioactive pollution and its migratory are two of the most representative problems in those environmental problems137Cs is one of radioactive fallout which had been widely used as a tracer in studying soil erosion in land and the sediment deposition in fluvial, lake and ocean. In the research of adopting the 137Cs technique for studying soil erosion, the particle size effect of the quantity of 137Cs absorbed in soil is very important to establish the relationship between the loss quantity of 137Cs and soil erosion (or deposition). Because, it's accuracy directly relate to the credibility of the studying of the soil erosion. As a tracer, 137Cs is carried by soil. The process of soil erosion is also the diffusion and migration process of nuclear pollution. Therefore, the study of particle size effect of 137Cs in environmental sample is very significant in theory and practice to study soil erosion, which is also the basis in controlling nuclear pollution and in studying the law of nuclide migration. The key factor affects the measuring accuracy is the detection efficiency in the analysis of specific activity of 137Cs. So, the study of particle size effect can't be ignored in the measurement of nuclear radiation. In these work, we collected two kinds of natural soils (the...
