Botrytis cinerea can cause great lose in crop production because of the wide host area. These spieces can cause disease of dicotyledons and non-graminaceous monocotyledons.It can be recognized as necrotrophic. At first stage of infection, it mainly kill the living cells of plant organism, and then it will take the killed cells as nutrition basement. Some disease can be caused such as soft rots and blights, it can also cause leaf spot, damping-off and stem cankers.It can not only cause rotting in crop production, but also make fruits or vegetables rot away during transport.Now, the research of B. cinerea mainly focused on gray mold defecting and its infecting reasons. The infection of gray mold have to experience five stages:spores' production — attachment — germination — hypha —spores production. If any stage can be stopped, the infection and wide-spread of gray mold can be broken. In the all four stages, the best way is to stop the germination and the attachment of B.cinerea, which can cause great cost during fruits and vegetables transportation. There are more and more scientists paid attention to promote bio-control method to kill the disease. However, the control of it still mainly depends on chemical materials. For these materials, some of them may cause something bad to the health of our human beings, others stay in the soil, ground-water, even in the air for a long time, which may potentially destroy the enviroment we live.
