Endophytic fungus share the property of long-term, largely asymptomatic associations with host plants.fungal symbionts of related genera Epichloe and Neotyphodium are symbionts of many coo-season grasses to which they provide a variety of fitness enhancements such as increased resistance to biotic stresses. We can improve turf-grasses by studying endophtic fungi. Endophyte-infected grasses can produce chemicals which are toxic or deterrent to insects and fungal disease. So they are expected to be potential biological pesticide. With the development of the molecuLar technology, the method of molecuLar can be used to identify endophytic fungi.Reresearch on the anti-microbe endophytes not only brings vast economic profits but also has realistic theoretic significance. In this scientific dissertation, some tall festue CrossfireII were chosen as the materials for separation of endophytes,J24, one of produced antifungus endophytes isolated from tall fescue, was indentified by physiological and 18SrDNA techniques. The resuLts were as follows.1. By tissue surface-sterilized,6 strains endophytes isolated from the tissues of tall fescue.Identified of endophytic fungus. Based on the morphological characters and AP-PCR,18SrDNA, J21,J22,J25,J26were identified as Neotyphodium coenophialum, J23 and J24 were identified as Acremonium...
