| In this paper, five winter wheat genotypes with different canopy temperature were used to study the effects of NaCl stress on seed germination and seedlings'growth,salt tolerance in seeds and seedlings stages,and the characteristics of Na~+ and K~+ absorption and accumulation of the seedlings using hydroponic culture methods etc. We had also studied the effects of exogenous calcium, silicon and potassium on salt tolerance of wheat gentypes under salt stress. The main results were as follows:1. Effects of salt stress on the germination of different winter wheat genotypes The germination of Xiaoyan6 and NR9405 was not inhibited by stress of 0~150mmol/L NaCl solution concentration, and the salt concentration (50~100mmol/L) even could improve the germination of Shaan229 and RB6. Xiaoyan6 and NR9405 had higher germination rates than Shaan229 and RB6 under 0~250mmol/L NaCl. Germination of wheat maybe be sensitivity to 150~200mmol/L NaCl. The germination percentage, germination index and vigor index decreased greatly, and vigor index was more sensitive to salt stress than the other two indexes under salt stress. Salt stress inhibited the growth of the root and sprout during the germination of wheat, and the inhibition effect to root was greater than that of sprout under lower salt concentration(50mmol/L). The sprout is more sensitive to higher salt concentration(more than 150mmol/L) than roots. The numbers of root increased under lower salt concentration(50mmol/L), decreased under higher salt concentration (>150mmol/L). The emergence was delayed under salt stress, and the emergence percentage of wheat also was decreased. Different winter wheat genotypes had different response to salt stress. Among 4 winter wheat Varieties, Xiaoyan6 and NR9405 had some tolerance to salt, and Shaan229 and RB6 were relatively sensitive to salt.2. Effects of calcium on seed germination of different winter wheat genotypes under salt stressThe ameliorative effect of exogenous calcium on the germination of two genotypes of wheat were different. The salt hurt of Shaan229, was highly amended by adding 6mmol/L Ca2+, but the ameliorative effect of calcium on Xiaoyan6 is not obviously.
