Ammopiptanthus Cheng f. is the only constant green broad leaf shrub in desert in China and its value of forestation, view, medicine and so on is extraordinary markable and especial. To study on researching and developing Ammopiptanthus was known to people. But the condition of distributing area of Ammopiptanthus is so bad that the value species is being die out. Also the species is hard to plant by people, especially the rate of death was so high when transplanting. It is a barrier to protect and enlarge it.The study is aiming to protect and enlarge Ammopiptanthus in Beijing. By the ways of fieldwork and reffering to datas, we research the natural distributing area and the characters in biology and ecology and the physical geography condition of A. nanus(M. Pop.) Cheng f. and A. mongolicus(Maxim.) Cheng f. So we find out the best habitat to Ammopiptanthus.Aiming at the character of transplanting and foesting hard, we start with the technology of accelerating Ammopiptanthus to grow side roots, and do research on container seeding, cutting roots and dealing with different medicament. We conclude that container seeding with slight taproot and many side roots is not as good as field seeding, it can be cutting roots in one year, especially when the time from 2 leaves to 10 leaves the survival rate is up to 85%, the best depth of cutting roots is 6 centimeters, 8 centimeters, 10 centimeters, using different thickness of ABT, the result is no different and it shows that the thickness of ABT plays no role on roots. To quest for the problem of the fast death rate when forest in spring. We research the death mechanism of Ammopiptanthus and adopt many ways to resolve the quality saving problem of seeding hibernate. The result shows that artificial planting is a bad way and make its quality down. But the original bed to earth up is the best way to keep the seeding quality. The text do research on advancing the survival rate by the test of transplantation and forestation and find that Ammopiptanthus is sensitive to water. In the test, we find that the water is the real factor above all to restrict the survival rate. So controlling the water is the key to resolve the problem of seeding Ammopiptanthus Cheng f..
