Goose parvovirus (GPV) infection is a highly fatal disease of goslings and Muscovy ducklings under 1 month old .The causative agent of the disease has been classified as a member of the Parvovirus genus of the Parvoviridae, goose parvovirus. The disease is characterized by acute enteritis and high mortality. The outbreak of GPV has been reported in many countries including Europe and China, which result heavy economic losses.The single-stranded genome of GPV is 5,106 nucleotides (nt) in length and has identical U-shaped duplex terminal hairpins of 444 nt at each end . Both plus- and minus-strand genomes are found encapsidated into virions.The shape of virus presented round or hexagonal and the diameter of it approximately was 20-25 nm . The genome of GPV has the equal number of plus-strand DNA and minus-strand DNA in virion. With the development of researching GPV which caused the blast of goose, the background of VP3 of GPV was clear to us. The genome of GPV had two major Open Reading Frame(ORF). The left open reading frame(LORF) encoded two non-structure proteins(NS). And the right open reading frame encoded three structure proteins, that was VP1,VP2 and VP3. In the three structure proteins the VP3 was the main capside protein which hold 80 percent of the total protein. The VP3 was able to induce the organism to produce neutralizing antibody which contain the major ingredient of antigenic determimant.These days blood serum and traditional vaccine was used to control the outbreak of Goose Parvovirus infections. But there are some problem in these biological agent.For example, the yield of the blood serum was low with high cost. the blood serum can lead to the vertical transmission and factitious diffusion. Meantime, the heterogenetic serum can affect the protection of the antibody which caused the short of the protection. The weak-poison vaccine can do some effect to the prevention and control of GPV infections.But it was not enough to control the pandemic of GPV infections. The strong-poison vaccine was not used beacause of the danger of throw-back of toxicity.So one new-type vaccine was demanded to development badly which can successfully prevent...
