Agro-geologic environment survey is a basic work for arranging and developing land resource compositively, in order to achieve high quality and efficient, continuable agriculture. The paper introduces the concept of agro-geologic environment, its background and the present research both domestic and foreign fields, and the important effect of carrying this survey out. The paper is based on the project of Agro-geologic Environment Survey and Green Land Resource Research of Shangyu city, which is a sub-project of Agro-geologic Environment Survey in Zhejiang Province. The paper involves the brief introduction for the above projects, analyses and evaluates the environmental quality of superficial soil, and does the soil - plant system geochemistry research according to the background survey; based on all these, the paper evaluates the surface soil environmental quality, as well land safety and suitability evaluation; finally makes a suggestion on land function zoning. The key results as follow:I. The paper established the soil geochemical setting for Shangyu city, and found out the regional geochemical distribution feather of elements in soil. In the surface soil of Shangyu the heavy metal elements' content is less than that of North of Zhejiang province; the level of the soil nutrient elements' content is generally low except SiO2 CaO. Besides, according to the survey much area that rich in the element of Se is found out, and such area mostly is the center of Shangyu where some low hills are. It is calculated that there is such land of 385 km2, whose content level of Se is high.II. The paper studies the feather of elements' movement and transformation in soil - plant system of rice plant and other 14 agronomic crops' leaves, and wants to point out those geochemical elements in soil that influence the quality of farm produce. All these work is for improving output and quality, and provides scientific grounds for fertilizing efficiently.III. The surface soil environmental quality evaluation indicates that most land in Shangyu is safe, and unsafe & polluted land is just 1 % of the whole area. Land safety and suitability evaluation shows it is the element of As, Pb, Hg, Cd that influence the environmental quality of producing area of green product and non-pollution product, and there is 69% land that accords with the request of green product's producing area environmental quality.Based on the above conclusions, the paper gave some suggestions on protecting and developing agro-geological environment of Shangyu:...
