| Turf is generally used in the city and in the path construction projects, because it has the functions which maintain water and soil, beautify the environment, fresh air and so on. The natural water resources usually cannot meet the normal growth of the turf to water. Thus, the fixed pipeline type sprinkler irrigation system is widely applied to make up the water in turf.Firstly the differences have been analyzed among the turf sprinkler irrigation system and other crops sprinkler irrigation systems in the paper, and that the turf sprinkler irrigation system has the pipe network to invest in a big way, the sprinkler irrigation uniformity coefficient requests the high characteristic have been pointed out. Then, the inefficient design and calculation workload shortcomings have been analyzed by the research on the traditional plan and design method of the turf sprinkler irrigation system.Simultaneously the multi-outlet and reducing pipelines is largely applied in the turf sprinkler irrigation system pipe network because it has functions which can enhance the sprinkler irrigation uniformity and reduce the pipe network investment. So, research on the multi-outlet and reducing pipelines have been conducted. The mathematical model of the multi-outlet and reducing pipelines which regards the minimum pipe network investment as the objective function has been established, and the approach which combines the genetic algorithm with the penalty function law has been applied, and the optimization computation on this mathematical model which apply the MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox by two step has been carried on. and the best optimal solution of objective function has been obtained.On the base of the pipe network optimization, the computer-aided design software on the turf sprinkler irrigation system using AutoCAD VBA has been developed.
