Survey And Strategy For The Development And Utilization Of Edible Insects In Shandong Province

The development of the edible insect, which has been regarded as the "sun industry of the globe", has great significance on enlarging food recourses, improving nutrition structure, widening agriculture industry and keeping zoology balance. This study investigated and researched systematically the current developing situation and the developing perspective of the edible insects. The author has developed the ways to manufacture silkworm food and insects banquet, and has given some advice on developing insects' food. The main ideas are as follows:1. Analyzing systematically the economic value and importance of the edible insects. To tell us that the edible insets food is rich for protein, amino acid, fat, vitamin, microelement, sugar, etc. Besides the high nutritious value, the edible insect's food can be used in the medical field and is good for health protection. The ways to make edible insect food turned out to be: making the original shape insect food, making the concealing shape insect food, making the further developed products of insect protein and amino acid health protection food.2. Investigating and researching the current developing situation of the edible insect's food in Shandong province. (1) To find that 34 kinds of edible insects, belonging respectively to 7 items and 18 sections, have been made to food. (2) To sift 56 kinds of insects spreading in 8 items and 23 sections have the developing potential. (3) Investigating and analyzing the price of the edible insect's food in the consuming market of many cities of the province. (4) According to the paper investigation, 97% of Shandong people have ever eaten the edible insect food, most of whom eat more than one kind of insects. (5) To find that 20 insects manufacture enterprises have been set up, most of which are in the elementary stage. (6) Having made a further investigation of Weifang Chunyuan Insect Food Cooperation.
