| General biochemical determined, feeding trial were adopted to study on the biochemical compositions of marine fish scale meal, the effect of marine fish scale meal on the blood lipid level of SD-rats and the application of marine fish scale meal to lactation sows dietaries respectively. Results and conclusions were showed in following.1. The results of the biochemical compositions of marine fish scale meal indicated that there was 39.6% crude protein in the marine fish scale meal;the total contents of 17 amino acids was 29.66% in which the content of glycine is the highest, 7.614%;alanine 3.649%, arginine 2.564%,aspartic acid 2.099%;the content of crude ash is considerably high,51.5%;the contents of calcium and phosphorus are the highest in the minerals, 17.63% & 8.73%,repectively;Ca/ P was 2.02;the higher contents of micro-elements in the marine scale were: Fe(2928.77mg/kg), Zn(404.02mg/kg), Mn(30.73 mg/kg).The fatty acid compositions of marine fish scale meal were rich, the higher content of fatty acids were C16∶0,C18∶1,C18∶2,C18∶3,C20∶5, C22∶6,the percentage of those fatty acids accounted for total fatty acids were 17.692%, 21.920%, 31.352%, 4.456%,2.941% and 4.277% respectively. It could be seen from the results that the marine fish scale meal is affluent in the nutrition valuable for utilization. This work provided basic information to exploit the scale of marine pelagic fishes.2. In order to study the influence of marine fish scale meal on serum lipid level in rats, the male rats of SD cleaning grade whose weight were 295.7±13.9g used. They were randomly divided into three groups from different weight grades and fed with different food:(I) the control with basic food, (II) experimental group with lipid-rich food,)(III) experimental group with lipid-rich food and marine fish scale meal.
