A series of experiments were conducted to investigate the application of L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate and polyhexamethylene biguanide on the chinese shrimp (Fenneropenaeus chinensis) larvae and juvenile. The current studies included the following:(1) A review for crustacean immunity and current status of immunostimulants and disinfectant.(2) Application of L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate on the chinese shrimp larvae, including the effects of L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate by supplementation in microbound diet on growth, survival, development index, non-specific immunity , disease resistance and body vitamin C concentrations of larvae.(3) Application of L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate on the chinese shrimp juvenile, including the effects of L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate by supplementation in microbound diet on growth, non-specific immunity , disease resistance and body vitamin C concentrations of juvenile.(4) Application of polyhexamethylene biguanide on zygote and nauplii of chinese shrimp, including the effects of polyhexamethylene biguanide on hatching rate and metamorphosing rate. The results are summarized as follows:1. A review for crustacean immunity and current status of immunostimulants.2. The larvae of chinese shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis were provided with diets of different levels of LAPP. Growth, metamorphosis , non-specific immunity, body vitamin C concentrations and resistance to V. parahaemolyticus were investigated in this study. Results showed that significantly enhanced growth and metamorphosis were observed when treated with 6000mg/kg of LAPP; The...
