Conduct two trials to confirm the preferred processing parameter for manufacture of alfalfa leaf pellet . Results as follows:1 Eligible cutting phase for manufacture alfalfa leaf pelletsThe trial was conducted at the last ten-day of a month ,Jun. 2005 . two years old WL323 alfalfa was selected which was cultivated in the farm of Animal Science and veterinary college , Jinzhou Medical College.This region mean annual precipitation was about 550~650 mm , 180 days frost-proof date and the soil is sandy loam .Examples were harvested at four phase respectively : bud , early flowering (10% individual plant flowering), medium flowered(50% individual plant flowering), full bloom(80% individual plant flowering)at 5 1m2 representative quadrats by diagonal method selecting randomly , 4cm high was saved , then made them into air drying sample ,each leaf examples crude protein , crude fibre were assayed respectively by government standard recommend method .The same 5 representative quadrats was selected for calculated leaf-stalk ratio by seprarated leaf and stem and then dried to air drying .Analytic results indicated : significant positive correlation between alfalfa leaf powder crude fibre (p<0.01) and cutting phase ; but significant negative correlation between crude protein (p<0.05) , leaf ratio (p<0.05) and cutting phase . Following early flowering , leaf ratio greater drop in yield following cutting phase delayed (p<0.01); The difference of leaf meal crude protein between four phase was remarkable(P<0.01); The difference of leaf meal crude fiber between four phase was remarkable (P<0.05) and signalization between before and after 10% flower(P<0.01) ; High-positive correlation between crude protein of alfalfa-leaf meal and volumeweight (P<0.01) , thus we can estimate crude protein from its volumeweight . For manufacturing alfalfa leaf meal,feasible cutting phase is between bud appering to 10% flower.2 Preferred pelletization parameter for alfalfa leaf pellet manufactureAlfalfa leaf meal which was separated from natural drying alfalfa by stone roller rolled , was made into 5 mm diameter pellets according as experimental design processing parameter ,each group control pellets's powder ratio , hardness , preforming percentage were assayed . 3×3 latin square design was introduction , 3 treats was leaf meal moisture , refining...
