Abstract/Summary:
Two experiments were conducted to study: (1) the effects of organic acids on nutrient metabolism and serum physichemical parameters in Guangxi Feifeng chickens; (2) the effects of organic acids on intestinal microecology in Guangxi Feifeng chickens.Experiment 1: Effect of different organic acids on nutrient metabolism and serm physiochemical parameter in Guangxi Feifeng chickens. In this experiment, 78 Feifeng chickens with the same weight and old (8 weeks) were allotted randomly to 13 groups (including one control group and twelve treatment groups) with 6 replicates of one chicken each. The control group was given the basal diet (no acidifier and antibiotic), the other twelve groups were fed the basal diets added with different kinds and levels of organic acids. The additional levels of three organic acids (citric acid, fumaric acid, lactic acid) were 0.15%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1.0%. During the period of experiment,...
