These experiments studied the contents of biochemicals and the enzyme activity in the flag leaf of 15 spring wheat varieties that had different resistance to aphids. The results were as followed:1. Two year's appraisal of resistance of spring wheat to aphids indicated that during these 15 spring wheat variaties, there were 8 varieties that showed aphids resistant, there were 7 varieties that showed aphids susceptive.2. The biochemical mechanism of spring wheat resistance to aphids were studied in adult stag, The results indicated that the spring wheat variety's biochemicals contents in the flag leaf correlated to the aphids resistance of spring wheat, the relative index between aphids number ratio and the contents of soluble sugar coefficient was -0.7823; the relative index between aphids number ratio and the contents of praline coefficient was -0.8206; the relative index between aphids number ratio and the contents of total phenols coefficient was -0.8516; and the relative index between aphids number ratio and the contents of DIMBOA coefficient was -0.9284. All the result showed that DIMBOA had the most important roles in the wheat aphids resistance, while the soluble sugar had unimportant roles in the wheat aphids resistance.3.The enzyme activity on resistance of the spring wheat to aphids was studied in adult stag, The results indicated that the highly significant correlation was shown between aphids number ratio and peroxide, phenylalanine and ammonia-lyase, and chitinase activity (R=-0.8420,R=-0.7980, R=-0.7955), Phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, chitinase, and peroxide activity raised suddenly in resistant wheat varieties after aphid invaded. but the enzyme activity of susceptible species had the risd, while the catalase activity were not significantly correlated to aphid number ratio of aphids(R=-0.2196).
