Chinese herbal medicine belongs to natural and has many advantages.: no pollution, little toxicity and the lower residual levels of toxic substance. It play an active role in modern infection prevention and control. In order to inquire about the effective Chinese herbal medicines to prevent Eperythrozoonosis, the test choosed three kinds of Chinese herbal medicine extracts which were Antifeverile Dichroa Root,Common Peganum Seed and Fischer Euphorbia Root against Eperythrozoon suis in vitro. After 5min of the test, the high dose groups(4000μg/ml,2000μg/ml)of three extracts cause the Eperythrozoon suis to fall off completely from the red blood cell and the Eperythrozoon suis infection percentage is 0.The middle dose groups(1000μg/ml)cause the part of Eperythrozoon suis to fall off and Eperythrozoon suis infection percentage is 15%-30%.Low dose groups(500μg/ml)have not obvious drug efficiency function and Eperythrozoon suis infection percentage is still 70%-85%.And the Eperythrozoon suis infection percentage of control group is 90%.The medicine sensitive test in vitro show that the Eperythrozoon suis is sensitive in the high dose groups and middle dose groups of three kinds of Chinese medicine extracts when low dose groups is insensitive. The test choose the best efficient medicine of Antifeverile Dichroa Root to do the treatment tests.①Use infected bloods of Eperythrozoon suis to inject in normal mice with peritoneal and to build artificial models of Eperythrozoon suis. After 5 days the infection rate reach to a peak of 80%.②B y the acute toxicity test to measure the LD50 of Antifeverile Dichroa Root extract is 4.42g/kg and determin the initial clinical dose.③Using Antifeverile Dichroa Root extract treat the infected artificial models mices. The results show that: the high-dose groups (10.00mg/ml and 5.00mg/ml)have a good efficiency. After 3 days the infection rate decrease to about 50%-60% and after 6 days the infection rate dropp to bout 5%-7% after 6days.The middle dose groups (2.50mg/ml and 1.25mg/ml)also have certain therapy effects, but after 6days the infection rate are about30-40%. Low dose group(0.63mg/ml) has not obvious effects and after 6 days the infection rate is also about 76%. The results can provide some reference data for Chinese herbal medicine to prevent Eperythrozoon suis.
