Populus euphratica Olive is one of the desert riparian arbor species and unique treespecies than can form forest in the arid and semi arid areas.Therefore, Populus euphraticaOliv. played an important role at ensuring ecological security in oasis.As population increases, the irrational exploitation of natural resources and other reasons,led to habitat deterioration, lives area declining, and then affecting the oasis ecological security.In this paper, adopt the theoretical and experimental methods of reproductive ecology andbotany, do research on the sexual reproduction system of Populus euphratica Oliv. theresearch contents includes the individual morphological characteristics of the reproductivecomponent as number of features, developmental and behavioral characteristics, pollen rain;Populus euphratica Oliv. reproductive characteristics at the population structure level,determine flower and fruit.On this basis, used the "fuzzy comprehensive evaluation" evaluatethe success rate of sexual reproduction system of Populus euphratica Oliv.The results showed: in the different condition as groundwater level, age structure, treedensity, the distribution pattern and proportion of male and female;the two plots showedsame success rate of sexual reproduction system .comprehensive evaluation value is slightly less than the middle level.For Populus euphratica Oliv. as individual is large, sexual reproductive investment in alarge (producing a large number of germ cells), seed small,meant Populus euphratica Oliv.maintains sufficient sexual potential in the increasingly harsh habitats.
