The forest biomass is the most basic quantitative characteristics of forest ecosystems, and the determination of forest biomass is the key base of depth study of ecological problems in many forestry issues. Therefore, studies on the forest biomass, whether in theory or in production are of great significance. Using models to estimate forest biomass is a common method for the determination of biomass.Studies on the forest biomass model is an important basis for studying and estimating on forest biomass. In recent years, with the forest carbon stocks as a research object, forest biomass once again being taken seriously, its accuracy has been improved.For the former studies on the biomass estimated models, despite many researchers have done a lot of research and established a variety of species biomass models, there are still some problems must to solve:(1) Most of the biomass models established befor were wood biomass models,but the stand biomassmodels were few.(2) Most of the biomass models established befor were aboveground biomass models,but the underground biomass models were few.(3) Studies on multi-level model of forest were few. Only estimate the biomass of part of the forest arbor trees, while studies on the understory shrubs and herbaceous biomass were relatively few.Base on these problems of studies on the the biomass estimated models,this article chose different sites, different ages and under different density Pinus massoniana plantations in Fujian Province as the research object, and established the tree biomass and the stand biomass models of Pinus massoniana plantations in Fujian Province,and estabished understory shrubs and herbaceous biomass models.Using the biomassmodels established in this article can estimate the biomass of the Pinus massoniana plantations in Fujian Province,and provide theoretical basis for the rational management and deveplopmeng on Pinus massoniana plantations.This article introduces the historical background of forest biomass models, the realistic meaning of forest biomass models and the general situation of forest biomass; then introduces some problems of studying on the biomass models;then introduces the parameter estimated method,model evaluation, some problems and their solutions,such as model is not compatible;Finally,analyzed and summarized the biomass model of Pinus massoniana plantations;also proposed a few inadequacies of biomass models and some suggestions of the future research in tish area. The main contents of this research is to establish biomass model of Pinus massoniana plantations in Fujian Province .The main contents of this research include:(1) survey methods of modeling wood and the treatment of sample data(2) establishing the standing tree biomass models(3) establishing the shrub biomass models(4) establishing the herb biomass models(5) establishing the stand biomass modelsThrough research and discussions,this article established the tree biomass and the stand biomass models of Pinus massoniana plantations in Fujian Province,estabished understory shrubs and herbaceous biomass models,and builds the tree biomass tables.In addition, this artcle also established the roots ratio model of Pinus massoniana(underground biomass/aboveground biomass) model.Establishing the underground biomass can use roots ratio model with aboveground biomass models,also can according to the underground biomass model.
