Field experiment was carried in Huidong tobacco growing area, in years of 2009 and 2010. The effects of transplanting date, different altitude, organic fertilizer and microbialorganic fertilizer on yield, quality, agronomic and economic characters and tobacco leaf chemical components were also studied by means of field experiment and laboratory study. The result showed that:(1) Under the same altitude, the earlier transplanting date resulted a longer developmental growth period. It was better to finish transplanting between 20th April and 10th May in Huidong tobacco growing area.The middle leave of plants which were transplanted in 20th April at altitute 1600m,30th at altitute 1800m,30th April at altitute 2000m were larger. The upper leave of plants which were transplanted in 30th April altitute 1800m and 2000m, could had a normal growth and development. Masaic, Alternaria alternata, blackstem happened little. So the disease could get a good control if the plant was transplanted at the right time.When the height was 1600m, the highest economic benefit,36877.7yuan·hm-2, could get if the plant was transplanted at 10th May. When the height was 1800m, the highest economic benefit 37067.57 yuan·hm-2, could get if the plant was transplanted at 10th May. The plant transplanted at 30th Aprial had the highest high class leaf proportion and middle class leaf proportion, which was 58.3%, 98.0% respectively. When the height was 2000m, the highest economic benefit 36147.5 yuan-hm-2, could get if the plant was istransplanted at 10th May.At the height of 1600m, total alkali, total sugar, reducing sugar, total nitrogen would get lower as the transplanting date get later; potassium decreased and then increased.Potassium-chlorine ratio and sugar-nicotine ratio had an upward tendency. At the height of 1800m, as the transplanting date get later, total alkali decreased, total sugar and reducing sugar increased, sugar-nicotine ratio and nitrogen-alkali ratio had an upward tendency. At the height of 2000m, as the transplanting date got later, total nitrogen, potassium, chlorine, total sugar and reducing sugar increased and then decreased, sugar-nicotine ratio decreased and then increased.(2) The plant under the condition of animal manure 5250Kg·hm-2+oil cake 3750Kg·hm-2+ specialty fertilizer 229.5Kg·hm-2 had the longest period. Before rosette stage, the growth and development of the treatment was slower than the comparison. The effects of the animal manure feed through to the stage after rosette. The plant under the treatment mentioned above had better expression in height, leaf number and dry weight.The plant under the treatment mentioned above had the biggest yield,3089.50Kg·hm-2, which was 22.85% more than the comparison. The high class leaf proportion was 19.69% more than CK, The high-middle leaf proportion was the highest,76.55%,14.08% more than CK.It had the biggest production value,36085.36yuan·hm-2,increasing by 41.21%.Applying more organic fertilizer improved the content of total sugar, reducing sugar and potassium in the middle leafn; sugar-nicotine ratio, nitrogen-alkali ratio and potassium-chlorine ratio were reasonable.(3) The plant applied organic fertilizer alone growed slowly, while the plant applied organic fertilizer with specialty fertilizer growed well. It tillered early, and grew fast aftter rosette stage and also had a low morbidity and disease index.The high class leaf proportion of plant which was dealed with animal manure 750kg·hm-2 together with specialty fertilizer 225kg·hm-2, animal manure 1050kg·hm-2, was 9.88%,16.78% higher than CK, respectively. The middle class leaf proportion increased 10.36%,14.31%, respectively.Form the side of leaf chemical composition, the content of potassium, total sugar and reducing sugar were all higher than CK. total alkali,chlorine and total nitrogen were all lower than CK, and sugar-nicotine ratio, nitrogen-alkali ratio and potassium-chlorine ratio were reasonable. The content of potassium increased 7.32%~10.1%. Appying more organic fertilizer was conducive to improving the quality of tobacco.
