Rice kernels are in the role of various loads from the harvest to the threshing, transportation and processing, so they are easily damaged. It's quite complicated and very worthwhile to do research on the influencing factors of rice kernels impact resistant capability, thereby reducing the damage and breakage of rice kernels. The paper briefly introduces the internal organization of grain's, analyzes and discusses the relationship between the internal organization and its mechanical properties of rice kernels and the occurrence of the source and the development of grain's damage, and it also sorts out the damage and breakage of rice kernels. According to the rice kernels' own characteristics and the related theories of applied material mechanics, the paper quantifies the impact resistant capability by bringing in two physical quantities. With the aid of material impact characteristics test device, the sensor, the dynamic strain gauge, the data acquisition instrument, computers and Vib'SYS software, the author carried out the damage impact test on five sorts of rice kernels with four different moisture content levels and by using EXCEL and MATLAB, the author has analyzed and dealt with the test data, establishing the related mathematical model between the impact resistant capability and rice grain moisture content, and also conducted the general rules between rice grain moisture content, rice varieties and its resistance to impact. The research results can not only be the reference basis of the rice harvesting, transportation and processing work, but also provides the reliable test reference for the exploitation of the related agricultural mechanics when people dealt with parameter designs.
