Soil organic carbon is the core of soil quality, but also the biogeochemical cycles nutrient elements in the main constituent, its quality and quantity influence soil physical, chemical, and biological characteristics and its process, influence and control the plant primary production, is the soil quality assessment and sustainable land use must be considered in the management of the important indexes. In recent years, plantations play more and more important roles in terrestrial ecosystem in china, with plantations area continually increasing. But there is few study on the soil organic carbon of plantations, which limits the exact estimation on the carbon sink of plantations in arid area.Taking Kramay "xinjiang oilfield 100,000 mu scale planting emissions base" as the research target, the sample method was used to study the desert conditions of artificial poplars and changes of soil organic carbon library, analyzes the change of SOC with superstratum vegetation growth situation, and the relationship between the original vegetation plantation and desert soil organic carbon storage space distribution. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The ecosystem biomass of poplar plantation in Karamay maded up of trees, herbs and litters, including tree layer for 45.285 t/hm2; herb layer for 1.679 t/hm2; litter layer for 4.195 t/hm2; Desert shrubs vegetation layer for 0.589 t/hm2, litter layer for 0.147 t/hm2.(2) Under the condition of desert native vegetation, soil carbon 0 10cm average snoring 2.29 g/kg; 10 30cm for 2.23 g/kg; 30 50cm to 1.80 g/kg; In the Artificial, 0 10cm monitoring.throughfall average carbon content for soil 4.79 g/kg; 10 30cm 3.98 g/kg; 30 50cm for 3.89 g/kg. Soil organic carbon content in soil in each different, the overall trend distribution for 0 10cm> 10 30cm > 30 50cm.(3)Karamay poplar plantation 0 50cm emissions reduction base for soil organic carbon 87544.73 t, while the same area desert soil organic carbon for 41968.80 t. Each obviously of plantation soil organic carbon is higher than the desert region of soil, the increment is 0 10cm increase 11089.61 t; 10 30cm increase 19390.57 t; 3050cm increase 15095.72t. 050cm soil organic carbon is increased 45575.93 t under the condition of forestation. It means that build the poplar plantation in arid zones can considerably increase soil organic carbon storage,and soil organic carbon in shallow soil of reserves increase in performance is more obvious.(4) From the desert and plantation contrast contrast, the vegetation biomass affected soil organic carbon content, but in plantation internal, probably because planting form, curing extent of such issues, ground biomass of the influence of soil organic carbon,there is a small degree between the corresponding relationship between no significant. Artificially monitoring.throughfall increase soil organic carbon is mainly comes from the litter biomass.(5)Soil organic carbon content in the soil profile distribution show roughly the same rule:Under the plantations, along with the increase of soil depth, soil organic carbon content shows the trends, and gradually diminishing in shallow soil (0 30cm), organic carbon content declining fast, and with the increase of the depth the speed of decrease becomes sluggish; Original vegetations desert soil organic carbon content is also with the increase of soil depth gradually diminishing, decreasing speed relatively gentle.(6) In the different area of the plantation,soil organic carbon content of the existence of certain difference, but no significant difference. Individual differences of regional appears mainly comes from water and heatdegree conditions caused by organic carbon different input and output imbalance.Above conclusions show that:Keramay poplar plantation is a potential soil organic carbon library, its organic carbon storage than to the implementation of desert bushes, regional CO2 emission reduction effect is remarkable. Arid build plantation can improve soil organic carbon, to improve soil environmental and ecological fragile area of quality significant role.This research can not only provide basal data and methods for evaluating the role of arid area plantation in the region carbon cycle, calculating carbon emission reduction of plantation in the arid areas and participating in international carbon trade, but also meanwhile as arid forest carbon and ecological environment provides the theory basis to improve.
