Used the growth of 208 individual plants introduced from 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances of National Forest Farm of Yong'an in Fujian for the purpose of the evaluation about the photosynthetic characteristics and its relationship with growth property Parameter of these 24 provenances. And the comprehensive research and analysis had carried into execution in 2010 July. Its photosynthetic physiological characteristic parameters and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters be determined in Tripterygium wilfordii germplasm collection gardenchoice. Then determined indoors about the biomass and organs growth character, chloroplast pigment content and specific leaf area, dry matter content and leaf nutrient element of the collected test materials. Based on the data of acquired Tripterygium wilfordii photosynthetic characteristics and its growing attribute basis, through the analysis and evaluation about photosynthetic characteristics and growth adaptability of different geographical provenance Tripterygium wilfordii, to provide the reference on species endangered mechanism and conservation strategy research based on geographic distance differences and climate change.The results were as follows:The range about Pn of the 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances was between 3.78μmol·m-2·s-1 to 14.748μmol·m-2·s-1, and the Tleaf 28.01℃to 29.31℃, the Ci 151.66 ppm to 292.743 ppm, the Rh 67.64 % to 76.31 %, the Tr 0.511 mmol·m-2·s-1 to 3.438 mmol·m-2·s-1,the Cond 29.222μmol·m-2·s-1 to 269.66μmol·m-2·s-1, the Vpdl 12.637 Pa/kPa to 17.797 Pa/kPa, the Wue 2.917μmol/mmol to 7.394μmol/mmol. The combination about Pn, Tleaf, Ci, Rh, Tr, Cond, Vpdl, Wue, Ca and Tair was the better one that can reflect the photosynthetic traits of Tripterygium wilfordi of different provenances. The range about Fo of the 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances was between 100 to 168, and the Fm 373 to 760, the Fv/Fm 0.701 to 0.808, the Y 0.27 to 0.558, the qP 0.642 to 0.959, the qN 0.166 to 0.876, the Etr 13.550 to 28.080. All the reflections of Fod, Fs, Fms, Y, qP, qN and Etr could be taken as the power factor of fluorescence characteristic parameters.The range about chlorophylly a of the 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances was between 1.096 mg/g to 2.832 mg/g, and the chlorophylly b 0.255 mg/g to 1.061 mg/g, the chlorophylly gross 1.351 mg/g to 3.742 mg/g, the chlorophylly a/b 2.528 mg/g to 4.301 mg/g, the carotenoid 3.032 mg/g to 6.957 mg/g. The above values had showed that there had a very significant difference among chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll gross, chlorophyll a/b and the carotenoid. Also there had a significant positive correlation among the five factors and all these indicators had the negative correlation with chlorophylly a/b.The range about C content of leaf trait of the 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances was between 466.244 mg/g to 1012.966 mg/g, and the N content 8.96 mg/g to 20.14 mg/g, the P content 2.042 mg/g to 4.298 mg/g, the K content 2.774 mg/g to 34.867 mg/g, the Na content 0.165 mg/g to 0.325 mg/g, the Mg content 1.52 mg/g to 3.928 mg/g, the Ca content 0.378 mg/g to 0.649 mg/g, the SLA 2165.48 to 3350.129, the LDMC 0.183 to 0.307. The P, K, Ca, Mg content, SLA and LDMC were the good combination, which could reflect the property of leaf trait of different provenances.The range about biomass of the 24 Tripterygium wilfordii provenances was between 11.039 g to 30.650 g, and the cuttings thick 2.955 g to 4.634 g, the branch number 1 to 2.182, the main branches long 14cm to 50.667cm, the main diameter thick 2.794mm to 4.708mm, the main leaf number 11.846 to 27.111, the collateral branches long 0cm to 36cm, the collateral diameter thick 0mm to 4.064 mm, the collateral leaf number 0 to 27.5, the main root length 14.667cm to 41.667cm, the main root thick 2.454mm to 4.925mm, the collateral root length 13.333cm to 29.786cm, the collateral stout 1.896mm to 3.654mm. The differences of Tripterygium wilfordii from different provenances were mainly caused by the growth of biomass and major organs such as branch and root.There had mutual promotion and restriction relationship between photosythetic traits and chlorphyll fluorescence Parameter. The Pn, Ci, Rh,Tr, Cond, Ca and Tair were positive correlated with chlorphyll a/b, but negative correlated with chlorphyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll volume and carotenoids. There had no significant correlation between leaf organic carbon content and the net photosynthetic rate, yet net photosynthetic rate was positive correlated with leaf nitrogen content, leaf phosphorus content and leaf potassium content. The SLA had negative correlation with photosynthetic rate of different Tripterygium wilfordii provenances. However, it had the positive correlation between LDMC and net photosynthetic rate. Net photosynthetic rate was negative correlated with biomass, main branches long,main diameter thick, leaf number,main root thick, but positive correlated with main root length.These places had put up the good photosynthetic physiological properties and fluorescence kinetics characteristics, such as Yong'an, Dehua, Datian of Fujian, Jiangshan of Zhejiang, Xiangxiang of Hunan, Hanshou of Hunan, Rongshui of Guangxi and Qianshanof Jiangxi. The Tripterygium wilfordii in these places were all good varieties, such as Qingliu, Youxi of Fujian, Wuyi, Jingning, Songyang of Zhejiang, Xiejialong, Changkeng, Jiangkeng of Taining of Fujian. It had good photosynthetic traits and good blade attribute of Tripterygium wilfordi in Xiangxiang of Hunan,Yong'an, Youxi, Qingliu of Fujian, Songyang of Zhejiang, Rongshui of Guangxi, Dehua of Fujian and Qianshan of Jiangxi. And it had good photosynthetic traits and the growth suitability that same as the National Forest Farm of Yong'an in Fujian in theses places, such as Datian, Dehua of Fujian, Xiangxiang of Hunan, Wuyi, Jiangshan, Jingning, Songyang of Zhejiang.
