This article Artemisia ordosica community in Kubuqi Desert; as the research object, analysis biomass of Artemisia ordosica community, canopy of Artemisia ordosica community, and carbon and nitrogen content of plants and soil, study on dynamics of carbon and nitrogen stock in plant-soil system during drifting sandy lands-semi-fixed sandy lands-fixed sandy lands, analysis the improving function of Artemisia ordosica fixed in the sand in the process role. And the main results are as follows:1. Carbon content of Artemisia ordosica in different sandy lands:semi-fixed sandy lands> fixed sandy lands>drifting sandy lands, carbon content of Artemisia ordosica Organ:fruits> leaves> new branches> old branches> thick roots> fine roots; carbon content in standing dead without regular changes; carbon content of litter of Artemisia ordosica in different sandy lands:semi-fixed sandy lands> fixed sandy lands>drifting sandy lands. 2. Nitrogen content of Artemisia ordosica community in different sandy lands: fixed sandy lands> semi-fixed sandy lands>drifting sandy lands; nitrogen content of Artemisia ordosica organ:fruits> leaves> old branches> new branches> fine roots > thick roots; nitrogen content in standing dead without regular changes; nitrogen content change trend is consistent with Artemisia ordosica.3. Carbon stock of Artemisia ordosica community in different sandy lands:fixed sandy lands(C:2575.52g·m-2 and N:151.11g·m-2)> semi-fixed sandy lands (C:1698.81g·m-2 and N:94.98 g·m-2)> drifting sandy lands (C:1126.34g·m-2 and N:87.20g·m-2), carbon and nitrogen stock of Artemisia ordosica community in different sandy lands:fixed sandy lands> semi-fixed sandy lands>drifting sandy lands.4. In drifting sandy lands-semi-fixed sandy lands-fixed sandy lands, carbon content of plant, standing dead, litter and soil changes on the whole has significant correlation, carbon stock of litter by their decomposition influence, and carbon stock of plant no significant correlation; in drifting sandy lands-semi-fixed sandy lands-fixed sandy lands, nitrogen content of plant, standing dead, litter and soil change has significant correlation.
