Konjac is the only plant that can provide a great quantity of Konjac Glucomannan (KGM) so far, which is broadly used in food, medicine, chemical industry and so on, and it owns high economic value. In recent years, a large number of the KGM in both domestic and international market is needed, but it often falls short of demand. Planting industry of konjac has become the bottleneck of the development of the konjac industry. Konjac has strong apical dominance and only has one leaf in the growth period, which restrict the photosynthetic area greatly and the yield of the underground bulb. In accordance with the problem that the leaf area of the Konjac is too small, this experiment used different artificially control measures to increase the multi-leaf phenomenon, which can increase the effective photosynthetic area and improve the yield of konjac. Test results were as follows:1,The observation of rhizome or bead buds, annual bulb, biennial bulb of the Amorphophallus konjac,Amorphophallus albus,Amorphophallus bulbifer which growed under natural conditions showed that:The leafiness rate of the Amorphophallus bulbifer was as high as 75%-98%, which was significantly higher than Amorphophallus konjac and Amorphophallus albus, and with the inc-reasing of the age, the rate was significantly increased, but the Amorphophallus konjac and Amorphophallus albus were contrary, with the increasing of the age, it droped from 4.08% to 0. The measurement of the IAA,ZR,GA3 of the growth periods of the Amorphophallus konjac,Amorphophallus albus,Amorphophallus bulbifer showed that:to the Amorphophallus bulbifer, one of the factors may lead to leafiness was that in the whole birth period its IAA/ZR rate was significantly higher than the other two. Besides, the ZR/GA3 of it was also higher than Amorphophallus konjac's and Amorphophallus albus's, and it breaking dormancy and emerging budding were later. Among the three species, the Amorphophallus albus was the smallest, and the emerging of the budding was the earliest.2,The result of the low temperature treatment of the rhizome of the Amorphophallus albus showed that:the leafiness of the rhizome rate of Amorphophallus albus was 97.9% by processing 12 months under 4℃. At the same time, it showed up that it breaks dormancy early, buddings early and growth period extended and so on, in addition, multi-leaf effected the photosynthetic accumulation, the weight gain coefficient was 25.79 which was higher than those in the control group, but the ratio of bulb and the rhizome was lower, which had greatly improved the yield and utilization rate.3,The result of the treatment that wiping off all the top, half of the top and barcutting to the biennial Amorphophallus konjac showed:different mechanical processing can increase multi-leaf rate which generally the leaf was 1-2 more than others, besides, wiping off all the top was the most significant, the rate was 95.9%, after it was harvested we can see that the number of the carmus was increased, and its yield reached 77.50 kg which was significantly higher than the control group.4,The result of the treatment that using different intensity of radiation of 60Co radiation to different ages of the Amorphophallus konjac showed that:different doses of radiation treatment made plants represented the phenomenon such as multi-leaf, dwarf, etiolation, blade dark green, deformity and many other appearances, and 8-12Gy radiation processing produced the highest multi-leaf rate which reached 33.3%, but when the doses of radiation added up to more than 12Gy, the fatality rate accreted as the age increasing.5,The result of the treatment that using IAA,6-BA,GA3 soaking to different esculenta schott ages showed that:different concentration and combination hormone ratio all can increase multi-leaf-plant, in which annual konjac produced the best results. When using different concentration of the IAA like lOmg/L,5-7 mg/L,1.5 mg/L processing the rhizome annual and biennial bulb, the multi-leaf rate were 55.84%,67.85%,26.81%; sprout rate of the Amorphophallus konjac was the highest, they were 26.81% 52.34%,25.32%,when using 30mg/L of 6-BA processing three different kinds of age; When using 60mg/L of GA3 processing different esculenta schott age of the Amorphophallus konjac, the multi-leaf rate were higher:54%,67%,50%. Using different combinations of the hormone inducting different ages, the best ratio of producing of multi-leaf was 40mg/L GA3+30mg/L 6-BA and 5mg/L IAA+10mg/L 6-BA, and the rate were 60% and 58.56%.6, The result of the moisture and Glucomannan of the corms which were processed by different means of artificial regulation showed that:The quality of the multi-leaf corms which is produced by using artificial regulation have no obvious difference with control group, the quality of konjac did not change. The results showed that using appropriate artificially regulation can effectively promote the multi-leaf rate, and could prompt production significantly, and its quality will not change. Low temperature treatment was the best way to promote multi-leaf of the Amorphophallus albus to occur, and had high multi-leaf rate which wais remarkable; mechanical processing was the most convenient way, which was main applied to vegetative propagation the expansion of the provenance; using radiation treatment can also cause the emerging of multi-leaf of Amorphophallus konjac, and can cause a lot of variation, so it can be regarded as one of the effective ways of improve and enrich the material of breeding; different hormone treatments were convenient and effective, which not only can improve the multi-leaf emerging of the Amorphophallus konjac and increase the output, but also it can induce blossom to the Amorphophallus konjac when the solution of GA3 was 100mg/L which can provide parent material for the crossbreeding.
