Investigation And Prevention-control Strategy Weedy Of Rices In Shaoyang County

In rescent years, the spread of weedy rice became significant, and has started to become very severe particularly in south, east and northeast of China. Research on the biological characteristic and prevention-control measures of weedy rice first discovered in Xinyuan village in xiaoxishi township were conducted, the results are as follows:1. The species is indica weedy rice, which can be devided into two types. Employing exclusive method, by field investigation, results of analytic demonstration indicates the weedy rices probably come from the seeds purchased by farmers in market.2. The growth and derivation of weed population, the dominant species and legacy rice in wasted seedling bed were systematic surveyed. Comparative analysis of weed species and minimum area in four sample plots reflected transformation trend of single farmland ecosystem towards crop-weed ecosystem. During the competitive process, stress-resistance and ferity of the seed rice left over in the field improved year after year. Then the cultivated rice derivated into weedy rice.3. The weedy rice found in Xinyuan village in xiaoxishi township is slightly damaged, which have not yet overspread. To decrease the losses of weedy rice hazard, we should start with strengthen the knowledge popularization of weedy rice to local management, Technicians in Agriculture, villagers, and so on, then choose appropriate way to avoid spreading of the weedy rice, such as:Hand weeding and destroy by fire, cleaning up and second ploughing in wasted field, etc.
