Subgroup J avian leukosis virus (Avian Leukosis virus subgroup J) and the avian reticuloendothelial hyperplasia virus (Reticuloendotheliosis virus) can cause poultry diseases and immune suppression. Although these diseases are not necessarily a direct result of the death of birds, but they can reduce the chicken body's resistance to other diseases, and then to the aquaculture industry has brought great economic losses. ALV-J is the 80s of last century from the late Payne LN and other meat-type chickens first isolated and identified from a new avian leukosis virus subgroup, tumors were induced myeloid cell tumor. As same as the natural reservoir of retrovirus infection, REV will not only cause damage to body cells, but in some cases, lead to cell transformation (of tumor cells) or cause cell lesions.REV and ALV-J has been popular in the world including China, and presented with other tumorigenic viruses such as Marek's disease virus (MDV) and other infections or multiple infections .Whether artificial or natural mixed infection mixed infection REV and ALV-J were atypical of the disease, the extent of their disease and mortality than any single infection to severe multi. During infection of chicken in his body vulnerable to the invasion of other pathogens and are often accompanied by co-infection of other pathogens and multiple infections. Therefore, poultry supplies bring huge losses, and be harmful to the poultry industry one of the major pathogens. So, REV and ALV-J infection of a total of more in-depth practice are better production of the disease prevention and treatment. In recent years, many farms, local varieties has taken place in the name of the tumor does not cause disease, the morbidity and mortality than the previous neoplastic disease was significantly improved, and according to pathological examination is difficult to identify the exact Diagnosis. In order to understand this tumor etiology and pathogenesis of the disease, we collected the suspected disease in Southern Yellow breeder samples, which conducted a series of laboratory diagnosis, the results from the occurrence of disease in chickens in vivo tumors were separated into the ALV-J and the avian reticuloendothelial hyperplasia virus (REV). To investigate the kinds of local varieties of meat chickens in Southern Yellow reticuloendothelial hyperplasia of avian virus (REV) infection with ALV-J status of isolates of ALV-J envelope glycoprotein gene (env) and non-coding 3 'UTR sequence analysis of molecular variance. This objectives of the present study were to explore the co-infection of reticuloendothelial hyperplasia virus (REV) with ALV in Wannan Yellow feather broilers. Meanwhile, the molecular variance in the Glycoprotein gene (env) and non-coding region of 3'UTR sequence of ALV-J obtained in the last 10 years was analyzed. Seven 300-d old chickens suffering with neoplastic diseases were obtained and subjected to histopathology examination, PCR and IFA measurements after cell culture. The results showed that six chickens in seven were co-infected with ALV-J and REV, while ALV-A and ALV-B were not found. The results of sequence analysis showed that the full-length of env gene and 3'UTR were 1704 bp and 400bp in the two strains. However, the rTM and E elements double deleted in 3'UTR of the two strains. Compared with the ALV-J strains obtained in the last 10-years, 3'UTR-E gene deletion was the common feature. In contrast, the 3'UTR -rTM gene deletion represented diversity. The conservative sequence 5'LTR had 11 bp deletion compared to the previous strains. The study found that there were the situation that REV and ALV-J co-infection in Wannan yellow-feather chickens, which had become the most important reasons of the high incidence of tumors, and showing universality(6/7). Multiple gene deletions showed that the ALV-J in the local varieties of chickens may have emergence of new variation trend, but whether relating to high cancer incidence needs to be studied further.
