Native Plants In Yiyang Garden Construction Application Research

The native plants has been widely applied in urban landscaping, due to a variety of species and good adaptability for local environment. However, in recent years some domestic gardens blindly pursuing outside plants, ignoring the development and utilization of native plants, it largely destroyed plant biodiversity and the stability of urban ecosystem, also increased the urban landscape maintenance cost. In allusion to these questions, more and more people payed close attention to native plants in the garden construction application.The native plants as an important part of the ornamental plants can highlight the local characteristics, form unique landscape, reduce cost and maintenance, enhance anti-reversibility and the stability of urban ecosystem, avoid the external creatures invasion, etc. In allusion to current situation of ignoring the native plants in urban landscaping, through methods to combine literature study and on-the-spot investigation, this article elaborated the application research at home and abroad, investigated the development situation and existing problems of native plants in Yiyang urban landscaping, analyzed characteristics and important role of native plants in urban landscaping.Based on in-depth study of Yiyang city native plant characteristics, the author discussed the concept of the native plants, factors of influencing the native plant application scope, growth and distribution, landscape value of the native plants, etc. It was concluded that the following conclusions:the native plants are very abundant in Yiyang city, there are 225 species of native plants, but only 17% native plant are used as ornamental plants;application of the characteristic native plant isn't very good, such as bamboo;Yiyang city should increase exploitation and utilization of the native plants.
