The Study On Medical Ornamental Plants In The Garden

Medical Ornamental Plants were classified according to pharmacological effect, medicinal site in this paper. The selection foundation of Medical Ornamental Plants was put out, which included ecological environment, different greenbelt types, characteristics and habits and medicinal site. Application principle was put out, which included aesthetics principle, ecological principle, economic principle and cultural principle. Application patterns of Medical Ornamental Plants were put out, which embodied specified plant garden, plant-plant configuration, plant-terrain configuration and plant-architecture configuration.The application situations of Medical Ornamental Plants in Changsha were analyzed, its application in classical gardens of Changsha was put out, its application features in modern landscape included abundant tree landscape, abundant seasonal phenomena, color arrangement and obvious ecological benefit.The species of Medical Ornamental Plants were analyzed after investigation. We had the conclusion that more than half garden plants had medicinal value, and the application proportion is different. Officinal ornamental plants were classified according to medicinal value and medicinal site after investigation. Application characteristics, patterns and problems were summarized after investigation.Solving methods were put forward after theoretical analysis and practical investigation, some aspects should be improved which were respecting application principle, scientific nature and ecology of plant landscape, local culture, popular science, health function and protection measures. Medical Ornamental Plant list of 5 parks in Changsha, ornamental and medical values of Medical Ornamental plants were put out after theoretical analysis and practical investigation.
