This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of Rumen bypass-nutritional Additive (Bergaplus-D, the main components are Rumen Protected Fat, B-Carotene, Vitamin E) on milk yield and milk quality in early lactation dairy cows, body condition and plasma metabolites in postpartum dairy cows.20 peripartum Holstein cows which had the birth order (2-4) and weight close 600kg were selected. The cows were assigned equally to a control and an experimental group according to matched-pair grouping design. Dairy cows in the control group were fed raw diet. Dairy cows in the experimental group were fed total mixed ration supplemented with 125g Bergaplus-D during 21 days before parturition. Dairy cows in the experimental group were fed raw diet supplemented with 300g Bergaplus-D during day after parturition until pergnancy. The experiment last for 180 days. The daily feed intake and milk yield were recorded, the blood samples and milk samples were taken periodically, milk quality were and plasma metabolites were tested. The results showed that the feed intake of experimental group was increased (P>0.05); milk yield and FCM were increased (P<0.05) by Bergaplus-D supplementation; fat yield and protein yield were increased (P<0.05) by Bergaplus-D supplementation; the concentrations of milk fat, milk protein, milk sugar, milk dry matter, and feed intake were not affected (P>0.05) in early lactation dairy cows supplemented with Bergaplus-D compared with the controls.Body condition scoring in early lactation dairy cows was increased by Bergaplus-D supplementation; Days to first postpartum estrus and breeding time was reduced (P<0.05) by Bergaplus-D supplementation; the estrus conception rate of experimental group was increased (P>0.05).The result indicate that the concentration of urea nitrogen was decreased (P<0.05) in dairy cows supplemented with Bergaplus-D compared with the controls; serum triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, and catalase were increased (P<0.05) by Bergaplus-D supplementation; plasma glucose, triglyceride, total protein, albumin, glutamic oxalacetic transaminase, glutamic pyuric transaminase, and superoxide dismutase were not affected (P>0.05) by Bergaplus-D supplementation. The results indicated that Bergaplus-D had a perfect improvement on healthy condition in early lactation dairy cows. The results showed that milk performance, milk quality and reproductive performance were increased by Bergaplus-D supplementation in early lactation dairy cattle.
