Our Black Wheat had very important value in nutrition and wheat breeding. It was crossed by Chinese Spring and Elytrigia in tem odium to get Blue-grained Wheat,then we used Blue-grained Wheat and Sterile Taigu Wheat to be continuously crossed to get Black Wheat. We chose ten lines that were 09-3-2,09-3-3,09-3-4,09-3-11,09-3-13,09-3-33,09-3-36,09-3-37,09-3-39,09-10-38. All of them were black seed coat and black endosperm, or semi-black endosperm. We studied on chromosome constitution of Black Wheat trough morphology,chromosome variation analysis,moleculor marker identification,c-banding and GISH. Preliminary study on grain pigment property and its antioxidant property.The results showed that the diploid chromosome number of the most root-tip cells was 42. There were a few univalents and many bar bivalents in PMC metaphaseâ… , a little lagging chromosonie,chromosome bridges and micronuleus were found in ana.â… ,ana.â…¡and tetraspore.Chromosomal abnormalities showed that the chromosome pairing was affected by the induction of Elytrigia in tem odium chromosonie. Furthermore, we had used RAPD and SCAR to identify,the results showed that the specific molecular marker could amplify the specific molecularmarker of E genome of black wheat. Then, we used c-banding and GISH to prove that E foreign gene had been introducted into Black Wheat, belonging to small fragment chromosome translocation.Some results show that black food has antioxidant properties, so we had studied on grain pigment property and its antioxidant property, so the result showed that composition of Seed Pigment might.be anthocyanin, and had free radical scavenging ability.Black Wheat of the wheat crop had wide development prospects. Based on these studies, we could cultivate new quality variety of Black Wheat furtherly. The study that could help to breed new Black Wheat varieties and to analysis on specific composition and characteristics of Seed Pigment, was essential.
