Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Chronic Allergic Rhinitis In Patients With Lung Qi Deficiency By

Objective:To identify the efficacy of Shen Gan Nasal Spray for deficient of Lung Qi syndrome persistent allergic rhinitis, and explore the impact of the quality of life of the patients, which was selected into the study, with the visual analog scale and the rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire.Method:This was a randomized, controlled study, in which the 47 patients, with deficient of Lung Qi syndrome persistent allergic rhinitis, were randomly assigned by the random number table into two groups, and there were 23 patients in the treatment group,24 patients in the control group. Then, during the after 14 days,the 47 patients continuous took loratadine tablet orally(10mg quaque nocte before bed),and the 24 patients in the treatment group were also treated with Shen Gan Nasal Spray(two injection for each side,3 times a day).The main outcomes, included the symptoms, signs and the quality of life of the patients, which were mainly evaluated by Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaires (RQLQ) and visual analogue scales (VAS),were recorded and analysed before the treatment, in the 7th day and 14th day after the treatment to deduce the efficacy and safety.Result:(1)The comparison of curative effect of the two groups demonstrated that the total effective rate of clinical effect was 86.96%in treatment group, and 70.83% in control group at the end of the study, and there was significantly difference between the two groups (P<0.05).(2)The nasal symptoms and signs sores for the two groups demonstrated that the nasal obstruction、nasal itching、sneezing、rhinorrhea and nasal signs sores for the two groups were all significantly alleviated in the 7th and 14th day after the treatment (P <0.05);and the changes of the nasal obstruction、nasal itching、sneezing、rhinorrhea were of no differences between the two groups at the end of the study (P>0.05);but the changes of the signs sores were of significantly differences between the two groups at the end of the study (P<0.05).(3)The systemic symptoms sores for the two groups were both significantly alleviated in the 7th and 14th day after the treatment (P<0.05), and the changes of the systemic symptoms scores were of significantly differences between the two groups in the 7th and 14th day after treatment (P<0.05).(4)The VAS sores and RQLQ sores for the two groups were both significantly relieved in the 7th and 14th day after the treatment (P<0.05), and the changes of the VAS scores RQLQ sores explained there were no differences between the two groups in the 7th and 14th day after treatment (P>0.05). (5)There were no adverse events occurred in the two groups during the study.Conclusion:(1)Both only loratadine and Shen Gan Nasal Spray combined with loratadine have extract curative effect in deficient of Lung Qi syndrome persistent AR, and be beneficial to relieving the nasal symptoms (VAS scores), systemic symptoms, signs and RQLQ scores.(2) The efficacy of Shen Gan Nasal Spray combined with loratadine is significantly better than only loratadine for deficient of Lung Qi syndrome persistent AR.(3)Shen Gan Nasal Spray is safe to deficient of Lung Qi syndrome persistent AR.
