Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Xuesaitong Combined With Western Medicine On GCS, ICP And GOS After Craniocerebral Injury

Purpose:To observe the effect of GCS, ICP and GOS after traumatic brain injury with combination therapy. Material and method:102 patients with traumatic brain injury were selected from March 2013 to February 2014 hospitalization. The 102 cases of hospitalized patients were divided into two groups by drew lots of medical record No. using parallelism randomized controlled method. Two groups of patients were diagnosed by CT scan and injuries, if there are indications for surgery then give emergency surgery, if accompanied with other specified injuries of body than give related treatment. The conventional treatment include: oxygen, intubation / tracheotomy to maintain airway patency, nutritional support, application of hemostatic, neurotrophic, diuresis, dehydration and cerebral edema, stress ulcer prophylaxis, prevention of epilepsy, antibacterial drugs, improve vascular spasm treatment. The treatment group was given panax notoginseng saponins injection based on the conventional treatment. To measure the ICP by lumbar puncture, and to observe the GCS change in the patients after treatment, as well as the GOS after 3 month. Confirmed integrative treatment traumatic brain injury advantage. Results: 1. The GCS of patients in the treatment group were higher than the control group after treatment. There was a significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05). 2. The ICP of patients in the treatment group were lower than the control group after treatment. Can improve the high intracranial pressure after traumatic brain injury, shorten the duration of coma patients, also improve prognosis of patients. The Integrative medicine to the treatment of TBI is a effective method than a simple Western medicine, clinical worthy of promotion.
