Purpose:Explore the emotional factors influence on neuropeptide Y(NPY) and atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP) concentration in serum of patients with atrial fibrillation in different age groups. in order to prevention and treatment of atrial fibrillation.Material and method:a total of three age groups of atrial fibrillation in patients with a total of 90 cases, divided into A group(60-69 years old), B group(70-79 years old), C group(80-89 years old), and normal control group of 30 cases. Fasting venous blood, using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) to compare the three age groups of patients with atrial fibrillation and normal control group in serum NPY and ANP concentration. Then using the State Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI)to determin the trait anxiety level of the experimental group and the control group, with reference to Wang Zhengyu 1984 revised SCL-90 mental health assessment, scores were calculated for each factor.Results:1. State trait anxiety level of patients with A group was higher than that of B group, B group than in C group, the C group was higher than control group, and there were significant differences(P<0.05).2. Group A symptom self rating scale score higher than that of B group was higher than of C group, B group, C group is higher than that of control group. And there were significant differences(P<0.05).3. The concentration of NPY was 0.52 ± 0.09 m IU/L in serum of patients withA group, the concentration of NPY was 0.46 ± 0.09 m IU/L in serum of patients with B group, the serum of patients with C group atrial fibrillation in the concentration of NPY was 0.41 ± 0.07 m IU/L. The concentration of NPY was 0.37±0.04 m IU/L in serum of patients with normal control group. There was a significant difference in serum concentrations of NPY between three age groups and normal control group(P<0.05), there were significant differences in serum concentrations of NPY in three age groups(P<0.05), and the age and NPY concentrations were negatively correlated.4. The concentration of ANP was 0.52 ± 0.07 m IU/L in serum of patients with A group, the concentration of ANP was 0.48 ± 0.08 m IU/L in serum of patients with B group, serum ANP concentration was 0.43 ± 0.06 m IU/L. The concentration of ANP was 0.39±0.04 m IU/L in serum of patients with normal control group. There was a significant difference in serum concentrations of ANP between three age groups and normal control group(P<0.05), there were significant differences in serum concentrations of ANP in three age groups(P<0.05), and the age and ANP concentrations were negatively correlated. Conclusion:Our experiments show that, compared with the control group of patients with atrial fibrillation group emotional status is more anxiety, anxiety status in patients with atrial fibrillation and atrial fibrillation in patients younger than age is more serious. The concentration of serum neuropeptide Y and atrial natriuretic peptide in patients with atrial fibrillation in emotional anxiety than those in the control group were higher. And concentration is positively related to emotional anxiety and neuropeptide Y and atrial natriuretic peptide. So the incidence of atrial fibrillation and emotional factors have a direct relationship.
