Purpose:To evaluate the clinical efficacy ofthetreatment of nucleus pulposusresectionthrough small incision and lamina fenestration with pills of supplement for bone for lumbarintervertebral disc herniation.Methods:104cases which received the therapeutic of the treatment of nucleus pulposusresection through small incision and lamina fenestration from August2006to January2014inorthopedics department1of the affiliated hospital of Liaoning university of traditionalChinese medicine were divided randomly into2groups.One was observation group,the otherone was the control group.The observation group received the Chinese herb decoctiontherapeutic for two months from the third week in postoperation.Comparison would be madein pre-and post-operative assessment based on the criteria of visual analogue scales(VAS)and the Oswestry disability index(ODI).Resu1ts: Only79cases of the104cases obtainde intact follow-up information. Theaverage follow-up time were37.25months which ranged from1month to77months.TheODI score of preoperative was(9.0±0.35),of three months postoperative was (0.32±0.08),of the last follow-up was(0.24±0.05).The VAS score of preoperative was(9.0±0.35),of two weeks postoperative was(4.8±1.25).Both of p score<0.05.There weresignificant differences. The ODI of preoperative in the observation group was (0.91±0.03)and the one in the control group was(0.89±0.03).The ODI of the last follow-up in theobservation group was(0.21±0.07),and the one in the control group was(0.26±0.03).Bothof P score<0.05.There were significant differences.Conclusion:The therapeutic of pills of supplyment for bone is helpful to increase theclinical efficacy after Traditional discectomy in treating lumbar disc herniation.
