Setting out anatomical characteristics, it includes the definition, manifestations, epidemiological investigation, etiological factors and pathogenesis, classification, diagnosis and treatment of dry eye.Clinical research:Objective:Through clinical observation on therapeutic effect of dry eye, that was treated with acupuncture combined with auricular point compression therapy. For explore the validity, feasibility and superiority of therapeutic schedule.Method:20 selected patients were fit into this clinical study. All the patients treated with acupuncture combined with auricular point compression therapy and conducted of before-after conthol. The particular points divided into body and ear points. The following body acupuncture points were selected: bilateral Hegu, Taichong, Taixi, Guangming, Sanyinjiao, Baihui, Cuanzhu, Yuyao, Tongziliao, Sizhukong, Jingming, Sibai, Fengchi, Taiyuan. Patients were given one consecutive treatment cycle in total.Index of observation:Observation of dry eye symptoms, signs change and laboratorial parameters were used. Symptoms and signs changes were observed by dry eye syndrome integral, visual function integral and quality of life integral. The laboratorial parameters included Tearbreak-up time(BUT)、Schirmer test I and cornea FLS results.Results:1. After one treatment cycle, dry eye syndrome integral scores before and after have significant difference (P<0.01); 2. Patients’visual function integral scores through this treatment cycle have been markedly improved (P<0.01); 3. No significant difference of quality of life integral scores change occured in the study (P>0.05); 4. Tearbreak-up time (BUT)、Schirmer test I results have significant difference before and after treatment (P<0.01), but cornea FLS results are similar (P>0.05).5.20 cases were treated,0 cases were cured,12 cases with significant effect,7 cases with effective results, 1 cases were ineffective, the total efficiency of 95%.Conclusions:Acupuncture combined with auricular point compression therapy has a good therapeutic effect on dry eye, not only on the symptoms but also on the tear secretion improvement and tear film stability strengthening.
