Research Progress Of Traditional Chinese Medicine In Ovarian Failure And The Regularity Of Syndrome Differentiation

Premature Ovarian Failure refers to the amenorrhea that owing to ovarian failure before 40 years old. It has feature of high gonadotropin and low estrogen. The cause of POF is uncertainty. These reasons are possibly related to heredity, immunity, physical and chemical damage, ect. The clinical typical features are premature menopause, infertility and climacteric syndrome. It observes that uterus and ovary are depauperated,and there’s no follicle or few follicles by hyperacoustic. So far, the major treatments of western medicine are hormone replacement therapy, assisted reproductive technology,ect. For the former, curative effect and risk are concurrent, and the illness easily reappears after drug withdrawal. It is difficult to achieve the ideal long-term effect. For the latter,the expense is too huge to spread.Chinese medicine has no definition of POF, but it could fit with "menopause", "infertility", "menopause appearing younger", according to the clinical characters and clinical features. TCM has the whole regulation. It could regulate female gonad axis from many levels and multiple target point. It has less untoward effect, but the responding time is long and the taste is bad. In recent years, a lot of sdudies point that combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine could express respective superiority. On the basis of literature, combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine on POF is more better than TCM or western medicine by oneself. Combining TCM and western medicine is the developmental tendency in treating POF. Of course, it need more sample to study.Objective:To research the literature of Chinese medicine on POF in nearly 10 years and to make statiscal analysis of TCM dialectics and the law of medication, so as to offer doctors convenience in clinic application.Methods:CNKI knowledge database,Wanfang database and WeiPuZhongWen database for retrieval tools, collect the literature of TCM on POF between January 2005 and December 2014. To set up the database of TCM dialectics and treatment, and the frequency, classification,property, flavor, channel tropism of Chinese medicine. then, make statiscal analysis by employing statistical software.Results:48 papers that met the inclusion criteria were selected. Involed 1716 cases,52 prescriptions,93 traditional Chinese medicine. Drugs appeared 574 times totally, and 20774 person-times.(1)The major dialectics of POF was kidney qi deficiency (29.08%), the next were liver-kidney def iciency(21.97%), yin deficiency and blood dryness(17.42%), qi-blood deficiency (15.79%), qi-stagnation and blood stasis (8.97%), phlegmatic-damp retardant (4.82%), poor-stagnate and blood stasis(1.92%). The main treatment was nourishing kidney qi, assistly, nourishing liver and tonifying spleen,enriching blood and dredging collaterals.(2)The top 10 frequency kinds of drugs were Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Semen Cuscutae, Chinese angelica, Herba epimedii, Dogwood, The fruit of Chinese wolfberry, White paeoniae alba, Poria cocos, Liquorice, Chinese yam.(3)The classification, property, flavor, channel tropism of traditional Chinese medicine:The drug most frequently appeared was tonic medicine, took up 63.41%. The property most frequently of occurrence was humoral medicine, took up 28.75%. The flavor most frequently occurred was sweetish medicine, took up 40.76%.The most channel trpism were liver and kidney, apartly took up 28.45% and 26.36%.Conclusion:The major dialectics of POF is deficiency of kidney, the main treatment is tonifying kidney. The most drugs are tonic medicine, humoral medicine, sweetish medicine, belonging to the liver and kidney channel.
