[Abstract] Objective Discussion astrocytes glial fibrillary acidic orotein (GFAP) in intraventricular injection of IL-1β induced expression and significance of the hippocampus in temporal lobe epilepsy model. Methods60healthy male Wistar rats were divided into two groups:the experimental group (intracerebroventricular injection of IL-1β), control group (intracerebroventricular injection of normal saline). Experimental group was divided into groups and non-onset seizures group, the experimental group were seizure after seizure7d,14d,21d,30d to give brain was removed. By immunofluorescence and Western Blog detect the expression of the law of change over time and hippocampus of GFAP. Results GFAP expression of the experimental group’s attack did not attack the experimental group and the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); within the experimental group,30days after epileptic expression peaked in each group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions1in IL-1β-induced epilepsy model, IL-1β may cause astrocytes;2gliosis may be pathological basis of seizures led to the development of epilepsy.
